DC Fashion Week presents the M.E.D.I.A. Showcase (Metropolitan Emerging Designers & Indie Artists). This critically acclaimed platform features emerging designer collections as well as recording artists who are making waves in the music & entertainment industry.

Put down your guidebook and skip the stress of navigating on your own when you book a gourmet food and walking tour through historic Georgetown. Your guide takes you off the beaten path to highly-rated establishments, from a deli loved by locals to an Indian restaurant that’s been around for 20 years. Along the way, see hidden landmarks often missed by visitors, including Julia Child’s former home.

The multi-media production Native Voices of the Grand Canyon presents an afternoon of education and entertainment about the importance of the Grand Canyon to Indigenous cultures. Using music, dance, short films, and testimonies, the program presents Indigenous voices that address the protection of the Grand Canyon’s rim lands and the reallocation of the waters of the Colorado River.

Celebrate Latino history and culture with the National Museum of the American Latino at the Echo Arts Festival. This family-friendly day at Glen Echo Park will feature hands-on demonstrations, art classes, yoga, dance classes, musical theater performances, and more. Food and drinks will be available for purchase from Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream and the Roaming Coyote. Free shuttle service will be provided from select locations in the Washington area. Specific shuttle information coming soon. Smithsonian activities will include demonstrations, workshops, and hands-on activities.
